About Us

Seeking Science is a collaborative project between four young women in STEM, who believe that science should be a part of everyday life and can be made engaging and relevant for all!

Roisin Conneely

Since graduating in with a Biology BSc in 2017, Roisin has worked in science publishing, and as a laboratory research assistant. In 2019, she completed a Masters course in Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation at UCL and is now working in medical communications. She is interested in all aspects of biological science but is particularly intrigued by animal biology, evolution and healthcare.

Arzo Iqbal

Arzo is the resident neuroscientist of the group, having recently finished an MSc in Neuroscience at UCL, and is now working as a research assistant in a neuroscience lab at the same university. She is interested in the functioning of the brain and how the understanding of neurology may be applied to medical science and has a particular fascination with the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders and how the knowledge of these processes can be applied to identify novel therapeutics. She also holds a Biology BSc.

Madeeha Hoque

Another Biology BSc graduate, Madeeha is currently working as a Medical Writer in the medical communications industry. She has previously worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, involving analysis of substances such as blood for diagnostic purpose, and has also had experience as a pharmacy advisor, so is our go-to for medication knowledge. She is also interested in ecology and animal welfare, as well as being passionate about writing.

Keef Mahinthan

Keef has a background in pharmacology and currently works as an Account Executive in the medical communications industry. She has a BSc in pharmacology and physiology, as well as an MSc in drug discovery and pharmaceutical management, providing the team with lots of knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry along with a passion for healthcare.
